WhenTheSkyFalls · 10/02/2019 13:31

Just take some Imodium 🤷🏼‍♀️ not seeing the issue here

Sparklingbrook · 10/02/2019 13:39

Delight me with your shitty bday stories

I don't think I have ever had one. Grin

MumW · 10/02/2019 13:40

Happy Bithday.
D&V is shitty at the best of times.
Schedule an official birthday for a week's time or 10th March and celebrate then instead. If it's good enough HRH...

MumW · 10/02/2019 13:42
  • Birthday Doh. For some reason the preview button isn't working on my tablet. Confused
SmallIslandLass · 10/02/2019 13:46

The one my whole family forgot kinda sucked but I'm not sure that's what your after

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 10/02/2019 13:56

Yeah just take something to stop your body getting rid of possible bug and run the risk of spreading it to your family....nice.

I feel for you OP and I hope you get to celebrate your birthday with friends and family at a later date 💐

Romanov · 10/02/2019 14:10

er what? you want to hear about poo stories with a birthday twist....? grim

GoShittyItsYourBday · 10/02/2019 14:12

No no.
I wanna hear about crappy birthdays. The ones youd rather forget (non poo related)

Buggeroff - literally. 😂
Imodium doesn't stop you getting rid of waste, it just solidifies it.

Mrsmadevans · 10/02/2019 14:27

'Poo perve strikes again?'
First thing l thought

HollowTalk · 10/02/2019 14:30

Me too.

Lookingforadvice123 · 10/02/2019 14:37

You are me, just born a day late! I'm heavily pregnant and have had nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea since Thursday. My birthday was yesterday. I felt more human than I did Friday (when I spent all day in bed!) but still had to cancel all my birthday plans and even today I'm still not right so my cake, take away etc are going to have to wait until next weekend - hopefully I won't have given birth by then and I'm better!

Happy birthday OP. I'm just grateful that mine wasn't a milestone birthday this year.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 10/02/2019 14:39

I missed my first mother's Day thanks to D&V.
As for a crap birthday - there was my 30th where every single invitee was somehow unavailable. That was shit.

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 10/02/2019 14:41

I was thirty one, two days passed my due date and we were horribly broke. I had spent the previous week in and out of hospital with bleeding and cramps. The night before I felt I hadn't slept a wink. I was grumpy, uncomfortable and miserable.

The family (aunt/uncle/cousins) were coming round to see me at tea time and I didn't want to see anyone.

I went to bed for a sleep and woke up with a massive contraction and the gloomy mood lifted straight away. The family arrived and the laughter and fun of being with them was a great distraction as the contractions were intense even though they were 20 mins or so apart.

The family left late in the evening and I talked to the midwife and got ready to go.

We got to the hospital just before midnight. The nurse was going through my details and asked if I had had a good birthday - I had to say that it hadn't had the best start but had got a lot better as the day went on!

The baby arrived in the early hours of the morning - the best belated birthday present I have ever had.

PooleySpooley · 10/02/2019 14:48

I raise you.

My partner of 5 years left me on my birthday and refused to communicate with me for theee weeks as he had shacked up with the women he had been shagging behind my back.

It was truly shit Grin

BrokenWing · 10/02/2019 14:50

I woke during the night with severe diahorea on the morning of my 40th birthday meal/party. dh and ds went without me (with my blessing). Apparently it was a great night!

Theyhaveallbeenused2 · 10/02/2019 14:51

Not got any stories to add..happy birthday to you..we are birthday twins.. are you holly Willoughby?

LazyFace · 10/02/2019 14:53

My 10th Bday. When my mum accidentally put 11 candles on the cake (the date is 11th) and announced after the cake was eaten 'as a side note' that she gave away my little kitten while I was at my grandparents...

This got beaten by a story later at a Christmas dinner when I found out that the dog I had as a six-year old never ran away and got caught by the dog warden (as I was made to believe for years) but had been put down by my grandparents.

elephantoverthehill · 10/02/2019 14:55

My fortieth was the worst it was on a Monday night, I was 7 months pregnant, the school had had the Ofsted call at lunch time so I spent the entire evening checking data and marking books.

CinnabarRed · 10/02/2019 14:59

My 30th birthday: discovered that my boss (who was on holiday and uncontactable) had made a mistake that, if left uncorrected, would cost our client £450m. I worked through the night to find a solution.

My 40th birthday: DS1 had had his first epileptic seizure a couple of days beforehand, and his second that day. Received his formal diagnosis on my birthday.
