Would coming off BC help this?

Back story: I've been on the Yasmin pill from age 16 for really bad periods. I'm now 20 in a week or so.

Ever since I went on it I have experienced bad binge eating behaviours and horrific tiredness. AIBU to guess the pill has something to do with that?

I still get awful periods too so it doesn't do much on that front.

I'm partly quite scared because my partner and I use condoms as well as me being on the pill for extra protection (we wouldn't be able to afford a baby right now but would like one in the future- he's 35 for reference).

I've done all the usual tests at the doctors for tiredness and overeating (vitamins, bloods & thyroid) and my Gp can't find a cause. I've come off my anti depressants and been free from those for over 3 months now so they weren't causing the symptoms.

I'm so stuck because the binge eating is ruining my life, sometimes I can't get out of bed all day due to the fatigue as well.

If the pill isn't helping with your periods anyway, there would be no harm coming off it to see if it makes any difference at all. You could always trial other birth control options afterwards

@Bambamber that's exactly what I'm thinking! I have previously tried micro gynon (sp?) but that irritated my stomach. I've also had one course of the depo injection but I felt awful on that too.

I might just give my body a break and go for just condoms and make sure we're really careful.
