I agree.

MN were aware of several recent threat to dox MN users and I can’t think of a single of company who has had some many breaches of their customers data.

I’m seriously wondering how safe MN aid.

I don't publish anything online, on any site, that I wouldn't mind anyone reading and knowing it was me. Nothing online is 100% safe. I do not really see it as an issue but if I did think it was unreasonable, I would probably remove myself from the site.

Everybody should have received the general email by now.

We've also emailed separately the users whose accounts were breached so if you haven't had an email saying this then your account was not affected.

The email that went to everyone was because we felt that we ought to let all our users know that this had happened in the interests of transparency.

We have tried to give as much information as possible here.

I was wondering this as my user I’d stored on my phone for mumsnet has been changed to someone else’s??

It's nothing to do with passwords.

How can people use the site when they clearly can't bloody read.

wouldn't a beta test with some dummy accounts be a good idea before a software upgrade, not hoping for the best.
