to want a no deal Brexit NOW

I honestly think that a no-deal Brexit followed by recession, blockades, rotting food, empty supermarkets, disappearing multi-natiionals, factories and banks relocating abroad, job losses, more job losses in the hundreds of thousands, civil unrest, rationing and power cuts are the ONLY way to get people to sit up and realise that "the will of the people" was a complete con based on lies and deception and that we actually should be in the EU.

OP posts:
starzig · 06/02/2019 21:16

I sometimes think the same OP. It'll be like a survival movie, a real live fight for your life challenge. Bring it on, lol.

Sausages18 · 06/02/2019 21:17

Regarding the ants.

It gets worse.

After the ant has been infected and climbed a tree and died, the ant’s head then erupts and spreads the fungus spores all over the ant colony below.

Then they get infected and climb a tree and die and erupt

And so on

Arkos · 06/02/2019 21:42

Ooh nothing really I'm just tired of folk whittering on pish when there's a BREXIT TOPIC

PortiaCastis · 06/02/2019 21:44

No thanks I need my insulin and I'm not dying for you but I want the whole stupid thing called off, sadly I'm pissing in the wind though

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 06/02/2019 21:49

Arkos - you could just ignore this post like I have ignored Baby Names for 15 years - even though apparently those threads are the height of disagreement and upset.

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 06/02/2019 21:52

I am half with the OP but I am quite nice and wouldn't wish a no-Deal Brexit on anyone even if they voted for it.

SwedishEdith · 06/02/2019 21:53

But you're being boring

The irony.

BrexitBingoGenerator · 06/02/2019 21:56

sausages18 Christ yes- I forgot about that bit where the head explodes and infects the other ants- I think that’s brexit in a nutshell.

BackInTime · 06/02/2019 21:56

@Arkos No one is asking you read Brexit threads, scroll on by if it’s no interest to you. Or is it in your interest to actively hide any discussion on the biggest political decision to impact the country in a generation.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/02/2019 21:58

No thank you from me too. I don't want to go through that and I'd rather my family didn't either.

Arkos · 06/02/2019 22:03

Oh yes it's in my interest to hide political debate. No. But my point is there's a Brexit topic. Plus the op was daft to begin with rather than offering sensible debate and discussion. I can't stand the hysterics

UterusUterusGhali · 06/02/2019 22:03

God the Leavers on this thread are such triggered snowflakes. 🙄

Spitting out dummies. Get over it etc etc.

PestyMachtubernahme · 06/02/2019 22:05

@Arkos

YOU WON

relax, have a holiday

AndhowcouldIeverrefuse · 06/02/2019 22:05

Arkoas

You have posted on this thread more than anyone else and are keeping it high on active conversations. Just saying...

FithColumnist · 06/02/2019 22:06

Actually, I agree with you. Long-term, I think it would be best for the country. Ironically, I think that hard-core Brexiteers pushing for no-deal are virtually guaranteeing that the UK (or, being realistic, England/Wales and Scotland as seperate entities) rejoins the EU in about 10-20 years, but without any of the current benefits it has, and cured of its absurd "Dunkirk spirit".

(Although, I don't really want it to happen, because in the short-term, people will die.)

BackInTime · 06/02/2019 22:06

I am guessing that the OP is simply expressing the sheer frustration that many people feel about this situation.

JustHereForThePooStories · 06/02/2019 22:07

I’m with you, OP.

You lot just need to crack on with it and do what you (as a majority) voted for.

I’m not a Brit, but am sick of hearing about Brexit. Get on with it.

DontMakeMeShushYou · 06/02/2019 22:07

But my point is there's a Brexit topic

But the OP is asking whether she is being unreasonable and this is the AIBU TOPIC.

Arkos · 06/02/2019 22:08

I'm actually finding it amusing. Plus it's making it less boring.

SwedishEdith · 06/02/2019 22:09

I’m not a Brit, but am sick of hearing about Brexit.

We've not actually started to negotiate anything yet.

userschmoozer · 06/02/2019 22:10

Barbie222
Is that true about the ants?
Yes, its called Cordyceps, and there are several types including a strain that infects tarantulas. Probably best you dont google if you are easily horrified.

Theres a fictional book (and a film), The Girl With All the Gifts, which is about a strain that infects humans.

Arkos · 06/02/2019 22:11

I wanted to stay
... but I'll make the most of whatever happens. I'm fed up with the doomsday scenarios and hysterics.

bubblewire · 06/02/2019 22:12

OP, I feel like this too. It would also mean the right people get the blame for how unequal this country is, instead of the EU.

But the pain and suffering of those who are already poor and vulnerable would be too horrible. So I hope we don't go No Deal.

Arkos · 06/02/2019 22:12

I'm also really liking the ants chat... now that's interesting

lljkk · 06/02/2019 22:18

omg, seriously freaky killer funghi poised to take over the world (or just ant brains). Populism = brain-invading fungus. I like it.
