To think this was a stupid question? - Doctor Care Navigators

Phoned to make a doctors appointment and the care navigator asked me “is it a bug?” About my symptoms and sickness. I said “I don’t know that’s why I wanted to see a doctor”

I get frustrated with the new care navigators as I take immunosuppressant medication and I’m told by the hospital if I’m ill I have to see a doctor as soon as possible but when I call the care navigators never wants to take the immunosuppressants into consideration. Twice now I’ve had a telephone appointment booked by the care navigator only for the doctor to call me and immediately tell me I have to come in and see them due to my meds.

Yep, I get the same. I've had to attend A&E twice because they won't give me an appointment.

When I've since been to the surgery, there are big signs saying "if you're going to attend A&E, please speak to us first", so they've obviously been pulled up on it.

I've had to complain to Pals about the attitude towards my DD, with LDs etc because they've made it that anyone with any vulnerability doesn't stand a chance of getting an appointment.
