Two alarms beeping

Two of my smoke alarms have started beeping/going off ... they're not beeping/going off at regular intervals and I find it strange that they're both at it. if it was one I would think it was the battery but as it's both it's strange that they would both be dying at exactly the same time.... also one is a heat alarm and one is a smoke alarm

They are battery back ups but have a sealed battery pack that I cannot access. I'm not really sure what to do.

I tried turning the fuse off and they were still going... I could remove them from their bases to stop them but then wouldn't have a fire alarm.

Any ideas?

Maybe wired together so they both go off together.

Try using a vacuum to remove dust. It will probably only fix it for a while, but you'll be able to sleep. Then replace them...

If the batteries are aged they might do the same thing. Replace them...

False alarm... it was a carbon monoxide alarm I had in my toolbox... it wanted fresh air Hmm the reason why I thought it was both was because I bought my toy box from upstairs under one alarm to down stairs under another ... I have lost the plot
