To be scared about putting my baby in nursery? (Trigger warning: child abuse)

Read another awful story about a nursery worker abusing the children in her care and it makes me dread my baby starting nursery.

I no it's unlikely to happen and I need (and want to) go back to work but does this worry other parents? DD has complex needs and we have found a fab nursery who can cope with her issues. But I worry about leaving her with strangers.

I worry about a lot of things with my lo it must be harder with a child with complex needs. Most of us do our best for our children but there’s lots we can’t control and we will make mistakes. You’ve done your best finding the best nursery you can for her. In life especially as women we have to be careful but we need to remember that life is not just the bad things but also the good.

I worry about so much I feel stress will kill me but sometimes I need a big breath and I look and out at the birds, nature the sky. I watch people hold doors open for mother’s with prams, see shop clerks ruch out as someone has left there change and think there is good.

There is always bad in this world and caution is important but we need to look for good in this world too.
