Posting for traffic in the hope of finding an IT wizard. Regular poster, NC as naming my employer.

I’ve tried to log into my NHSP flexible worker portal and a weird error message comes up: ‘Object reference not set to an instance of an object’ and a load of code.

I’ve called the NHSP service desk and they haven’t a clue what it means; I can’t log into my account, view or book shifts.

Pic attached, hopefully it comes up?

IT help please - what is this error?

Forgot to say, I’ve tried it on my phone, all the browsers on my laptop, someone else’s laptop and it all comes up the same.

I used to work in the civil service and this was a relatively common error that came up on one of our databases. I'm sorry that I've no clue what it means, but from what I recall it was to do with when interacting with an object (I.e. clicking a button) wasn't correctly coded by the site builders so causes an error that cannot be fixed by the user or the general help desk. They'd need to refer to their IT provider.

Yeah. That's a server side problem. Their end, not yours. Unlikely fixed until an IT person comes in on Monday morning.

Oh if it’s their problem then that’s fine! I was terrified I’d been suspended for some heinous misconduct Blush
