To wear maternity clothing when not pregnant

Hi
I’m in desperate need of new clothing - im a size 18 with a fuller bust (38f) no tops look any good one me. All look a little short or tight around bust.
Would it be unreasonable of me to wear maternity clothing, I’ve seen a few gorgeous tops I know would look fine!
I’ve not been pregnant for years, mine as teenagers!!

Of course it's okay! When I was 16 and a size 8 I used to buy maternity clothes for parties I went to because I knew nobody else would be wearing it and I could get my belly all bloated from cheap cider and be comfortable Grin

I don’t think it is anyone else’s business what you wear. Go ahead and buy the tops.

I put on a lot of weight after I had the DC and dug my maternity wear out and to my shame it was all to tight Blush Not sure why I’m sharing that but just wanted to!

I bought a couple of maternity tops from Lidl last summer (poncho style) and wore them all the time.

I still have a couple of maternity tops that I sometimes all the time wear. My youngest is 18 months! Grin

I bought a maternity dress form H&M. It was nice an comfortable since it seems that all the other regular clothes were super tight. It was all nice and fine until I run into a very visibly pregnant woman with the dress and she gave me very sympathetic "I know how you feel" look 😅

I have a lovely maternity dress I wear all the time. It’s got great detailing and - I hope! - I don’t look pregnant when I wear it. Sadly lots of my nicer mat clothes need an actual bump to look nice in them or I’d wear them all the time, too.
