I thought the same, gave up after # episodes.
The good place is funny, The haunting of hill house is brill, heartland is great, really lovely and heartwarming.

GLOW is good

I like sci-fi and dystopian futures, so that's going to sway my recommendations.

I'm currently watching Orphan Black, it's really good.
I just finished watching 3%, which is about a dystopian future where the top 3% get chosen to live in a paradise called the Offshore, while everyone else struggles with life in the slums.
People are chosen by completing a series of tests when they turn 20.
Really interesting show, it's Brazilian so the language is Portuguese. I didn't like the English Dubs, so I watched it in Portuguese with English subtitles.

Nearly finished POSE. By the guys that brought Glee and American Horror Story.

It's really, really good. Am laughing, dancing and sobbing in every episode.

And American Horror Story - My favourites are Hotel, Coven and Cult.

Grace & Frankie is another great one!

I know this is about Netflix, but if you have prime, Outlander, This is us, and life in pieces are all brilliant.
This is us and outlander are the best thing we've ever watched.
