Ok.. so school drop off parkin is tight first come first serve kinda thing
.The road has houses with drives dropped kerbs etc so limited. However one lady is pissing me off.
A person who.lives in the house takes there car off her drive and parks in one of the limited spaces and waits for her friend to come then moves her car so her friend always has a space. Petty i no..but wtf if he friend cant get up early.like the rest of us this isnt our problem isit?? Petty i no. Bad morning.

So friend comes out of her drives parks on opposite side of road saving space for lady 2. Lady 2 then sits indicating holdin up trafficnwhilst lady 1 pulls back.onto her drive so lady 2 can park last minute. I get parkin every morning i am not bothered. I too suffer from psychosis and OBPD does this make me entitled to park close to the school? Her children have no disabilitys either. I am not jealous. I am sayin she is breakin the law she is blockin no1s drive the road is one way and even the fact she is on a bend doesnt really matter as there is enough room for cars to drive pastm ot just irritates me.
The cat is so friendly. Matted fur gray marble colour and blind in one eye. Several people who live on the street and even the school have attempted to take him in but he prefers the street. He gets ALOT of attention and food and love probably more so than my own kittys lol

Good for her. As for saying people shouldn't buy a house near a school - how stupid is that? Schools get extended. Village schools are in the middle of the village, who would guess? They were built with the expectation that people would walk.

We had a lot of trouble in our village and at one point a parent wouldn't move their car in order for an ambulance to pick up an elderly lady for a hospital appointment.

I wrote about it at the time. Mrs B, our lovely neighbour, organised us all and every morning and evening instead of parking on our drives all cars available were left on the road. Leaving parents with nowhere to park. Except the church car park 200 yards away. And the lay by at the bottom of the lane 200 yards away. Both had plenty of room.

The parents weren't very happy and a lot of them got quite abusive so we had the police on hand a few times and that stopped them. Those parking on zigzags were also ticketed. We did it for 3 weeks until the parents realised it would go on until they stopped with the double parking and blocking drives.

Some years on we have to repeat the exercise when a new lot of children arrive but those parents also learn the lesson.

CallMeVito · 31/01/2019 10:34

you are looking at it completely the wrong way.

She is not entitled to anything, she is lucky that her friend saves her a space.

I agree that their arrangement doesn't make much sense, but it's their own issue.

ShartGoblin · 31/01/2019 10:36

The cat is so friendly. Matted fur gray marble colour and blind in one eye

In order to properly judge on this issue I think we need a picture of the cat. In the interest of fairness here is my cat having a snuggle.

Parking😔
Escumator · 31/01/2019 10:36

Yeah i guess she is lucky. It seems so much effort though for the sake.of 90 second drop off. It takes them longer to move cars and park than it does to drop the children in. This is what irritates me i guess

Comefromaway · 31/01/2019 10:38

I don't see anything wrong with what she is doing. She's using the perk of living there to help her friend out. Its a bit like I have the perk of working 5 minutes walk away from a railway station so we take advantage of easy parking and sometimes let friends use it too.

pepperjack · 31/01/2019 10:38

I couldn't be arsed moving my car every morning for anyone

Escumator · 31/01/2019 10:39

MoreCheeseDear
you all deserve a medal - well done! Star

Aquilla · 31/01/2019 10:41

Excellent diagram, but I think that's actually just a really nice nice thing to do for a friend!

CallMeVito · 31/01/2019 10:42

Escumator
how do you ever leave the house when you have such cuties at home! Now I am jealous.

WhyDontYouComeOnOver · 31/01/2019 10:42

How do you know she doesn't have mobility issues? No one would know that I did on the days I'm not using my wheelchair.

GhostsInSnow · 31/01/2019 10:42

Parkin = a delicious Yorkshire treat.

Parking = Leaving a vehicle in a particular place for an amount of time.

😁

MRex · 31/01/2019 10:45

What a waste of time when the friend could just park on the edge of her drive. I'm pleased by the drawing and the cat photos.

Is anybody giving the cat de-worming stuff? And cutting off the matted bits?

Escumator · 31/01/2019 10:47

Here is the other one not to brag butt Grin

OP posts:
Escumator · 31/01/2019 10:48

Im not sure about cutting the matted bits off but an elderly lady on the road defleas and worms him often

CallMeVito · 31/01/2019 10:48

now that's just showing off Envy

MRex · 31/01/2019 10:50

I'm very happy about the deworming. Once we get the stray cat photo you will have acquitted yourself brilliantly on this thread @Escumator, you can be proud of it.

Badtasteflump · 31/01/2019 11:04

Love a parking thread but now you bastards have got me wanting a cat Angry

VanGoghsDog · 31/01/2019 11:18

Why is it inconsiderate? The owner of the drive could chose to park permanently on the road

Indeed.
Once, years ago, my then-boyfriend was doing something with his car on the street, where he had parked it across our driveway.

A man came by and asked if he lived in the house, bf said he did. Man asked why he wasn't parked on the drive (I can't recall the reason). Man said he should park on the driveway. Bf said er, well, I usually do, but why?
Man said because it's selfish to be taking up a space on the road which meant fewer spaces for other people.
Bf pointed out that as he had parked across his own driveway, which my car was on at the time (it had room for both), it wasn't actually making any difference as if he drove onto the driveway no-one else would be able to park there anyway, so the outcome was exactly the same.

Mmmhmmm · 31/01/2019 12:47

I'm surprised her friend actually does that for her every morning. I would find that to be hassle.

Severide08 · 31/01/2019 13:13

Slightly off topic but i would be taking the cat home with me if i was certain for sure it was a stray .Hate the thought of any stray let alone in this awful cold weather Sad.

Severide08 · 31/01/2019 13:16

Ahh just seen you said he prefers the street and is cared for .Bless him i am a sucker when it comes to strays Grin.

WiddlinDiddlin · 31/01/2019 13:24

YABU.. but it would annoy me too, the effort they put in to saving a space is ... irritating and smug.

Bonus points for diagram and inclusion of kitty. :)
