To feel disappointed- Dry January ?

Well I’ve nearly completed it. I haven’t cheated but I don’t feel any better. I haven’t lost any weight ( I have been counting calories too and not substituting wine for anything else) and I’m not sleeping any better.

I am glad I did it just to prove to myself that I could, but I did hope for a bit more to show for it.

I’m going to keep abstaining now until Valentine’s Day in the hope that I will start to notice a difference.

Ive done it too (well, except for one night -special occasion)

I'd probably drink about 3bottles if wine, normal week say?

I don't feel much different, and I never weigh myself... BUT my belt has gone up a hole, and work trousers were a little looser...

Now DP giving up chocolate for February.... no freaking way could I do that lol 🙄🙄

I was “dry” for 3.5 months at the end of last year. No weight loss, didn’t look, sleep or feel better.

DH asked me if I was doing dry January again. I decided not to bother!

Me and dh did it a few years back. Most pointless thing we ever did.

Snap. Second time I have done I it and no impact in weight or sleep. Gave up sugar for a month, caffeine twice for a month. All the same no impact. DH says I need to do it for longer but can't see why longer would help. I give up giving up. I have a chronic health condition, I don't sleep well and feel crap as a result not because of wine, sugar or caffeine.

But are you eating better and drinking 2/3 litres of water a day?
