Have you had Botox? What does it actually feel like?

I’m definitely in the market, but I want to know if it makes your face feel dead-as when you’ve had a load of anaesthetic for dental treatment. Or weirdly ‘heavy’ as I’ve read somewhere. Very grateful in advance!

Not dead or numb, no. I think it only works on motor nerves not sensory ones but don’t quote me on that!

It did make my face feel slightly heavy for a couple of days but only if I was thinking about it. A slight headache the first day that went with paracetamol. After a couple of days it either lifted or my brain adjusted.

depends where you have it. crows feet you can't feel anything, forehead does feel a bit stiff but after a while when you stop playing with it and trying to feel it, you don't really notice it (unless you've had loads out in)

New type fillers can do what Botox used to and you don't feel them in the same way.

So get a consultation on what results you want.

I had my Forehead and marionette lines done with both. I prefer fillers.

It stops my frown lines from aching! Otherwise no numbness etc. TBH I have it to stop me frowning and to stop the ache.

After a few days, when it starts kicking in, it can feel heavy for about a week/ 10 days and you might get headaches during that time too.
After the initial 10 days it will ease off as you get used to it.
From speaking to friends, the fewer wrinkles you have the worse the headache, as in it happens as it may be an "overdose" of the toxins.

Not like that at all, not numb and not particularly heavy for me at any point. For the first few days it feels a bit like when your face is exposed to extreme cold and it feels a bit hard to move. It’s not unpleasant, just different.

Yea I've had it a couple of times and had a headache once, apparently it's from the practitioner putting too much in (to prevent you coming back a couple of weeks later for a top up).

I prefer baby Botox, which is smaller amounts.

Tiny sting when it's being done but if they're good they're pretty quick. Apart from that i can't feel it at all and it's the best thing since sliced bread

The headache is from the muscles contracting not having too much.
