I've worked in social work for over 10 years and have side stepped to various departments during that time.
Following a split with my DP I left a position I loved and went to my current job as the hours as flexible making it easier to work around DS.
Anyway, I hate this position. I've been her almost a year and find it boring and repetitive! I was at a PDR and spoke to my manager about it who seemed shocked as she was hoping I would apply for a new management position that has come up in the department. It's more responsibility but also 5k more a year. I've never worked in management so reckon it might boost my CV... but I hate the actual job so would managing it be any better?
I know it's a total silly problem so need to know AIBU not applying?!
