to ask if there are any eye doctors/specialists out there?

I have health anxiety, so tend to really freak out about things.
Recently I have had blurred vision for a few weeks, it got worse after I first noticed it.
Initial eye check was fine, went back when it didnt clear up and she found that my accommodation focus was all over the place.
It seems to be in both eyes, don't have any headaches/sickness or anything else.
She's referred me to an eye doctor/specialist but has said referral could take a while and I will get a call or a letter.

I know I shouldn't but I googled and from what I can see unilateral (one eye) isn't seen as serious but bilateral (both) is more likely to be neurological and a result of mid brain lesions??
I'm beside myself and can't think of anything else, and am worried that a referral might take ages like she said, surely if it could be something serious then they would refer me quickly?
She didn't give me much information at all and now I don't know what to think.

She did say she thinks it's likely due to stress but I can't find anything that says stress can cause this.

I'm sorry to freak out but I don't know who to talk to about this and was hoping and eye doctor could come and reassure me or advise me on how to speed things up if it does sound serious :(

I had blurry vision with vitamin D deficiency. I think it was both eyes. Sounds like one for the eye doc though. Hopefully you won’t have to wait long.

thanks @weirdwonders the optician didn't mention anything like that it seems like it's a specific issue with the focus so don't know if vitamins would affect that

I guess it's not a very common problem :-/
