Drag queen?!!

Am I the only one who ends up looking like a drag queen when I try and copy make up routines from the internet?!? Seriously, can anyone in ‘real life’ ever get contouring, highlighting and smokey eyes right?!?

I think that kind of heavy makeup only looks good in pictures or video like stage makeup. It looks weird in daylight

Drag Queens normally look fantastic! Do you mean that the finish is too heavy, or that you're useless putting make up on and you don't understand drag queens?

It's about practice.

The key to smoky eyes is building up the colour slowly. Lots of light applications and blending the colour properly with a clean blending brush so you end up with a dark colour - rather than one application of heavy colour.

Go for a make up lesson with a professional - it will sort you right out. They teach you all kinds of tricks.
