AIBU to move energy suppliers because of constant smart meter bombardment

I don't want a smart meter. I have told our electric supplier this on a great number of occasions. I get a text and an email at least once a week trying to get us to have one. They call me often too, and occasionally someone turns up at the house because they are in the area installing them and want to do ours too.
Tbh I feel pretty harassed by them. I know it's not the same person calling every time, but I'm getting to the point where I'm going to scream fuck off down the phone if they call me about it again. Is there any way to get them to stop contacting me about this (other than repeatedly telling them I definitely don't want one and to stop contacting me about them, as this clearly isn't working)? Obviously I still need them to contact me about other issues, bills etc.
I want to move suppliers but wondering if other suppliers will all be the same?
Why are they so obsessed with everyone having one?

We’re now with pure planet, totally renewable, cheaper and no smart meter obsession. It’s brilliant! I have a referral code if you want one?

I’m rarely rude to call centre people but I got so sick of saying the same line over and over to our old suppliers

Oh and pure planet have no call centres - it’s all on an app

You don't need an excuse to change supplier but assuming you are on the cheapest tariff you'd be silly yo spend more for the sake of texts and emails etc. If you aren't on the cheapest tariff you should be changing regardless of the smart meter.
