Lighthearted really, but curious Grin

When pregnant, we bought a new born bottle set which had a dummy included. Silly old me said "oh well we'll have it for emergencies but I really don't think we'll use it - they're awful don't you know".

DD is now 13 days old and has had her dummy from the first night Grin Because it settles her and gives mummy and daddy a bit of quiet.

Dummy, and sitting with the hoover on for 3 hours per night..between the hours of 7.05 and 9.15. Which I still find bizarre, she was more accurate than our clock!.....this was me till I found a blue tooth speaker and white noise app.

No breastfeeding- terrible pregnancy and desp to get my body back - EBF 5 months in
No bed sharing -my ass is currently in co-sleeper while she starfishes
No screens - my 5 month old can tell the difference between baby sensory videos on YouTube and I’m convinced she is purposefully hitting the skip ad button.
No junk food ever - not really on solids but so far has had a chomp at spare ribs from Chinese, a smelly jar thing and a cheese burger. All vegetables have been rejected point blank. Her head swivels faster than the dog when she hears a wrapper.
A bed time routine of bath and book - often just gets a baby wipe
Will only dress nicely in traditional clothes- gets chucked in what ever tat comes to hand
Oh and no dummies - done some mad 5 minute rule thing For about 2 weeks since may as well be glued in place.

Oh and I also have a nephew with an accent who’s sister where’s diapers, loves cotton candy rides in an elevator, drinks juice boxes and throws himself on the floor screaming for candy!

Love these threads they're hilarious. Mine were:
No dummies - lasted a few weeks, after that the things didn't come out of his mouth for the next four years.
No fruit juice only milk and water - didn't last long and the last time he drank water was about 10 years ago.
No sweets/chocolate - I did stick to this for about a year but since then he's been a total sugar junkie, he'd live on sweets if he could.
No jars only home cooked food - spent ages making stupid purées with my Annabelle Carmel blender and he hated them. Everything he ate came out of a jar after that.
