Christening HELP!

Meowstro · 26/01/2019 15:24

I've been ill all week and forgot to get a christening present for a family friend who's child is 2. I'm out, what can I get this DC for a gift that's somewhat unique and won't be done to death? I'm thinking that bracelets, etc. will be gifted in abundance.

A nice Bible?

A book that YOU remember enjoying as a child. It could be something for much later on. I would avoid popular toddler books... Dear Zoo, Gruffalo etc. It could be a reprint, or could be from a second hand/charity shop. I went to a christening last year and the parents specifically requested this sort of thing.

An amazon gift voucher, complete collection of winnie the pooh, Beatrix Potter or Paddington bear books. We loved those from the christening as they will last years.

A complete chronicles of Narnia book in hardback. Usually found in Waterstones if you have one. Pricey (£35) but a lovely change from silver trinkets.
