Kerry in emerdale does, it’s mentioned occasionally how she controls it/people making sure she is looking after herself etc and the effects of her not taking care of herself are shown.

The character was played by Lucy-Jo Hudson. IIRC, she murdered her dad and then killed herself. It was a long time ago as I haven’t watched any soaps for years.

There was a diabetic character in Neighbours when I was growing up. I think her name was Dani?

DD (9) was diagnosed with Type 1 (insulin-dependent) 6 months ago; presume your friend's DD has been diagnosed with Type 1 as well. Watching with interest as I don't know of any and this would be great for her.

There is a great that she might like maybe a bit further down the line when they've started to get to grips with things.

She’s 8. Hannah Montana sounds tight up her street. Will check out the dani in neighbours storyline too.
