I'm just curious (nosey).
My starting weight in August was 10st 11, I am now 9st 9 and back in size 10.
But I feel like I still have a long way to go! Trying to figure out what's the average kind of weight for this height....

OP posts:
PatchworkElmer · 26/01/2019 05:50

I’m 5ft6, and 9 stone 5. I agree that it’s not so much weight as shape that I keep an eye on. I exercise a lot, and I think I’m starting to look slightly too slim at the moment.

You look amazing, OP!

otterturk · 26/01/2019 05:58

56kg
Size 6/8 but 30E boobs that make it more tricky

otterturk · 26/01/2019 05:59

You're beautiful. Stop worrying.

Rubusfruticosus · 26/01/2019 06:11

I'd love to be 9st 7. 8st 13 is the bottom of the healthy BMI range for height! Is this for a height of 5' 5? I'm 5' 5 and healthy weight at my height is 7st 13 to 10st 10 according to the NHS calculator.

MsLumley · 26/01/2019 06:23

I'm 10 st 6 right now, working towards getting under 10st. I'm a size 14. I'm an apple shape so all of my weights in the middle. Very slim shoulders and arms, toned legs, then about 2 st of excess blubber clinging to my middle 😣

MrsJamin · 26/01/2019 06:37

I think you look great. If you're worried about wobbly bum and thighs I'd recommend some strength training, lifting weights. I used to be the same but I've firmed up a lot now. Lift a kettlebell for 20 min three times a week and just that will make a difference. As I said up thread I don't weigh any less but I am more toned, stronger and much more confident in my body than I was. The most striking thing has been that I used to have 34c bras that I had on the biggest setting and now I am on the tightest setting for 32c, I might for once in my life have to get Bras that are 30c soon! Plus my boobs haven't gone down in size. "Bingo wings" are also gone. (I'm 40)

IamTheMeg · 26/01/2019 06:51

I'm thin, 7 stone 10. Quite skeletal on top, muscly legs, a nice weight is just under 9 stone for me Smile

Miltonkeynesmummy · 26/01/2019 06:56

I'm 11.9 and dieting after putting on weight due to illness. Just back into size 12. By the time i an 10.7 I look fine. 10 stone and look good. I'd like to be back to 9.7 (size 10) but I find that really hard as I have to eat a tiny amount a day and exercise daily to maintain that.

Siameasy · 26/01/2019 08:21

You look perfect and I’m envious of your waist. I’m quite thick-waisted and a 30 waist is good for me (currently just over that)
Currently 5’4”, 10.5. This is within BMI and I’m happy but optimum for me would be high nines so I’m on it.
I would buy a ten in the shops but really, going by old fashioned sizing I am currently just about squeezing into a 12.
I’m an apple. My stomach is my bug bear. I can’t stand stomach fat. If I stay within BMI it’s at an acceptable level.

RedDwarves · 26/01/2019 08:25

I'm 5'6-7" ish, but I weigh 54kg or 8st 7lb.

I am naturally slim and don't have to put any effort in to stay slim, but I have been determined to make a concerted effort to get fitter and healthier this year as slimness =/= healthiness. I am walking my dogs 6-6.5km every morning, swimming when I can on weekends, and have been taking tennis lessons one evening a week. My diet is pretty good with the exception of my addiction to chocolate - I would like to cut that or at least cut back.

gonedolallytap · 26/01/2019 08:27

13 stones Blush size 14

dancemom · 26/01/2019 08:42

This blows my mind!

As I said I'm currently 10'6 and I wear a size 6-8
There is people weighing 2 stone less than me wearing the same size and people weighing the same as me wearing size 12!

Really is about body composition more than weight - and maybe I'm more muscular than I realised?

TheGhostOfYou · 26/01/2019 08:44

10st 6 in size 12s. Aiming for my pre-pregnancy weight of 9st 7.

YorkshireWelsh · 26/01/2019 08:44

Following ~11kg weight loss 5 years ago, my Pre-pregnancy ‘fighting weight’ was 55-57kg, making me a pretty consistent size 6 down from a 10/12.
I do lots of cycling so I’m reasonably lean.

When I had DS I was 75kg, which felt weird compared to my normal, though the midwife described me as ‘all baby’ (personally I think this was because she’d not seen my pre-pregnancy arse and thighs, I was definitely stashing quite a bit there 🤣) and at 9 days PP (yesterday) i was down to 65kg. I am breastfeeding though and feel like I’m eating EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!

Aiming to get back to pre-pregnancy weight over the summer, but right now feeding him is more important to me, so I’m focusing on that over any specific weight loss goal 😊

nottakingthisanymore · 26/01/2019 08:46

5’5”. 12 stone 6lbs. Fat. Size 14 in skirts, 16 in tops. Lowest was 10 stone at 21. I’m in my 40’s now. Depressed reading this thread.

sofato5miles · 26/01/2019 08:46

11st 8lbs. 12 top, 14 bottoms.

I've lost 22lbs over the last two years and was a 16/ 18 then so feel slim. Want to lose another stone only or my face will look haggard..

Frouby · 26/01/2019 08:52

I am a fatty at 13st 5. But I carry it well. Well on my huge boobs mainly. Very apple shape. Currently wearing either size 14 or 16 jeans, and size 16 or xl tops.

At 12st I am a size 14.

At 11st I am a size 12/14.

At 10st I look absolutely shocking. Even at 11st people ask if I am ill or when I am going to stop dieting. I think 10st 4lbs is a BMI of just under 25.

My happy weight is 11st 5ish.

I have long legs, a short body and all my weight is on my boobs and tummy. I lose my arse at 12st, and my boobs empty, leaving me with loose wrinkly skin.

So 13st 5in is far too heavy (I dieted for a year for our wedding in May, got to 11st 8lbs) and then put a stone on up to December then another stone from December to now. Holiday and Christmas binging.

Am slowly (very slowly, am 41 now) losing weight, mainly by not drinking as much beer and wine, but am never dieting again. I have gained and lost and gained and lost and gained and lost and gained and lost the same 3 stone for the last 15 years.

I am eating healthier, more regularly, cutting down on bread (I can't lose weight and eat bread at all it seems) and trying to move around more. I also need to seriously attempt the 7 portions of fruit and veg. But thats a lot of veg.

OwlinaTree · 26/01/2019 09:13

I'm 9st 6.5 at the mo and in a size 10. A few 8s, 12 in dresses at times as my waist is proportionally larger, I carry weight round my middle. Want to get to 9st, that's reasonably maintainable for me.

Lowest I've been is 8st 6, but it was hard work to maintain. Did a lot of exercise then too so much leaner, was an 8 mainly then.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 26/01/2019 09:22

@dontpicklethemmilkspots no I don’t consider myself to have large breasts. (32D) but I am relatively muscly if that makes sense. I’m a triathlete and long distance swimmer so muscly back/arm and relatively muscly legs. I would prefer to be around 10st 4 but post Christmas chocolate is preventing that! But still can fit into all my clothes which mostly are a 10 with some size 8 tops.

I think sizing is completely out as demonstrated on this thread. I really wish it was more standardised by shops as it can vary so much.

alltheusernames · 26/01/2019 09:24

It'll depend where people shop as well, I can always go smaller in Next than I can in H&M for example.

GertrudeWilloughby · 26/01/2019 09:32

These threads always become competitive wanna-be anorexic weigh-ins. Hmm

A bit like any thread where people ask what you eat and it becomes the norm to exist on a breath of fairy dust and a mouthful of water.

Mammyloveswine · 26/01/2019 09:48

Currently 10 stone 13... far too big for me. I feel great at 9 stone 12 so have restarted at slimming world. Hoping to get back to my target weight by the time I go on holiday in April. I've grudgingly swapped wine for spirits...

alltheusernames · 26/01/2019 09:49

@GertrudeWilloughby I've only seen one weight from memory sound unhealthily thin on here and that person wasn't even 5ft5 no one has made an attempt to compete with it and exasperate the issue.

It's refreshing to see the variety of weights someone with the same height can be! It's easy to get obsessed with your own figures.

MsSuperExcited · 26/01/2019 09:53

Does 5’ 4” count??

I’m 64kgs on a bad day, 61kg on a good day. I have no idea what kind of day today is 😆

I have a tiny top half and waist and wear size 8 but my arse and legs are ginormous, which I hate so size 12 bottoms.

SpeckledDot · 26/01/2019 09:55

@GertrudeWilloughby Your post only makes you look jealous
