Use DPs toothbrush?

marymarkle · 25/01/2019 18:58

We are staying at relatives this weekend. Relatives are elderly and have false teeth. I have just realised that I have forgotten my toothbrush. We are in remote countryside a fair drive to a shop that will still be open.
Should I use DPs toothbrush without his knowledge? I know he will say no if I ask. Or just manage without brushing my teeth instead?

Not if he would say no if you asked him.

Gillian1980 · 25/01/2019 18:59

Not if you know he would say no.

Coralnails · 25/01/2019 19:00

I don't think you should use it behind his back.

Can you persuade him? It could be cleaned with boiling water afterwards.

Doghorsechicken · 25/01/2019 19:01

I would just share with DP, let him know whilst using it! Can’t say no if it’s already in your mouth!

BlueJava · 25/01/2019 19:01

If he's say no, then it's no.

marymarkle · 25/01/2019 21:00

Ok will just go without cleaning my teeth tonight and will find a shop first thing in the morning. Thanks.

I'll lick and suck all parts of their anatomy but I won't share my toothbrush, sorry. I'm probably weird

gamerchick · 25/01/2019 21:11

Just finger and toothpaste tonight and find a shop tomorrow.

Viviene · 25/01/2019 21:16

Same as @Onlyjoinedforthisthread It's a 'no' from me regardless of the amount of the boiling water you'd pour over it :-)

Mojitomogul · 25/01/2019 21:18

oo i wouldn't even question it! I'd just use it! Grin

stopitandtidyupp · 25/01/2019 21:19

I would just use it too.

Lululemonade · 25/01/2019 21:27

I would just use it too

user1493413286 · 25/01/2019 21:30

I would use it although my DH would be fine with it

Onlyjoinedforthisthread · 25/01/2019 21:32

I wouldn't use theirs either

bionicnemonic · 25/01/2019 21:34

Corner of a flannel...give them a good rub...lovely and clean...much better than a finger!

andantecantabile · 25/01/2019 21:34

Toothpaste finger!

Lemoneeza · 25/01/2019 21:37

I would just use it. but I have read that you really shouldn't share toothbrushes with anyone ever.

Mummaaon · 25/01/2019 21:39

Hell yea I'd use it unless her got regular cold sores!

Pissedoffdotcom · 25/01/2019 21:39

I actually don't remember which is mine some days. I'd use it & just give it a rinse. You've probably shared germs more than once anyway Wink

brokenhead · 25/01/2019 21:41

Omg we share a tooth brush in this house Blush

goldopals · 25/01/2019 21:49

I've used my husband's before because I forgot which colour was mine (we normally have different brands to avoid this). Put toothpaste on your finger; it's not brilliant but will help freshen you up.

PolaDeVeboise · 25/01/2019 21:57

FFS, you've (probably) shared every single fluid in his body at some point, it's not going to kill either of you if you share one night!

Mum2jenny · 25/01/2019 22:16

Either use his toothbrush or clean your teeth with a finger and toothpaste. No real issue imo but if he'd hate you using his toothbrush you've got bigger issues in your relationship.
My dh wouldn't care at all if I brushed the dogs teeth with his toothbrush! May be upset if I used it for the snake though (do snakes have teeth? I know they have fangs....)

DarthLipgloss · 26/01/2019 08:38

I use my dps toothbrush all the time....

Only if you're all minging in general.
