.... to get your kids into a certain school.
To accommodate your child minder / grandparents?
How did it pan out as your kids got older?
Did you get caught out?
If so what happened?

Schools are increasingly investigating this illegal practice and if caught you will be prosecuted.

Both faking religion and address are morally wrong but faking religion isn’t illegal and come with fraud charges 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not exactly the point of the thread but a friend of a friend has had his child baptised and has started attending the local RC church with the hope that his son will get offered a place at the RC secondary this coming September. He openly admits that they’ll stop attending when the offers go out regardless of whether they offer a place or not.

Have you looked at recent admissions criteria and numbers? Many schools don't reach full allocation so it's no harm applying from your real address. The other thing to consider is childcare support from your local schools. I know my local schools have reduced breakfast club and after school rates for pupil premium children which might make it manageable for you? It might be worth looking into if you're eligible?

@piglet81 I never had to supply any evidence of anything for my daughter's Reception place?

If the school has placed, you may be ok. A colleague of mine sent her child to school near her parents house so they could help out. She didn't lie about where she lived, just requested a school near to them and was granted it. It wasn't oversubscribed, luckily.
