Secondary school kids go to a school not too far away but a difficult commute that involve two buses and around 1 hour each way. We currently drop and pick them up from the bus stop so they just catch 1 bus.This is not sustainable because I'd like to increase my working hours. DH wants to move but is not keen. (Having extended the house not long ago and the sheer pain of finding somewhere else.)
Anyway changing my original question. Is it too much of a comute if they were to catch 2 buses and therefore leave the house 6:50 am? The time is because their school has a 8:15 start and the first bus is not very frequent. Or should we move? Would welcome coments of parents in similar situation. Kids say they are fine with that and already wake 6 am without problems.
