Afternoon tea delight

Posting here for traffic only.
MIL (with dementia) birthday tomorrow and has received a gift card for afternoon tea for 2 at very posh hotel from her 2 daughters. MIL doesn't drive and is unable to be out alone (gets lost, losing money etc). 2 daughter's expect MIL to be driven to tea by a neighbour on the understanding that the neighbour has the tea too. The 2 daughters(my SILs) don't speak to me because I voiced my opinion that they need to help more with MIL as my husband and I are doing everything, ( but apparently I have no idea how difficult it is to see your mother going downhill- my own mum died last July after a very long illness 🤔). Anyway, MIL has asked me would I like to go with her - yes, yes I would and I will take lots of pictures and post on SM of me and your mum enjoying time together that you have paid for!
I know I'm being dickish but I feel kinda smug Smile

Absolutely go and enjoy yourself, and take those many photos! Exactly what I'd do 😉

Definitely go and enjoy every moment. Make sure you point out on SM that you were invited by MIL !

Fabulous!

(it's probably a heads you lose, tails you lose situation, so get anything good out of it that you can!)
