Following on from another thread my DH informed me the other night that I load the cutlery wrong in our dishwasher. It has a cutlery tray at the top and he says it's easier to put the knives on the far away side because they are easier to turn than the forks .......HmmGrin

I also have to refold half my washing if DM or MIL (kindly) fold it for me because they won't fit in nice piles with those already in the drawers Wink

When i do it the mop head ends up filthy. When OH or the cleaner does it, mop head is still quite clean.

That happens in this household and I don't understand it either!

Likewise, if DH cleans walls with the steam cleaner, we end up with dirt/grease-streaked walls with the dirt/grease rearranged rather than removed. Hmm

@Atalune and @Mabumssare - my sister and I do this, and then place them on the spare bed with a shell or tied in ribbon with some springs of lavender if the other comes to stay. Ditto the hand towels folded into a hanging bag over the rail with mini toiletries included. It's a running joke!

Thing my DH does wrong (along with some of the things others have mentioned on the thread!) -

Meal planning/food shopping: I am a meticulous meal planner to ensure all our various dietary requirements/fussinesses are met, and everyone gets a healthy, tasty meal made with reasonably ethical produce that doesn't break the bank (does require for instance that we decide what meat we need for the once a month trip to the farm shop). He thinks we should eat pretty much whatever we fancy on a day to day basis which entails a lot of popping to the local shops for esoteric ingredients which then clutter the cupboards, purchasing of random yellow sticker items and eating of beige/ready made crap! It costs us £££ too. We usually come to an (uneasy!) compromise but I do hanker to be allowed to control the menu every day...

Things I do wrong - getting on the train/tube. My DH has memorised the 'correct' door to get on the train/tune for every station we regularly use for maximum efficiency/minimum walking at the other end. My 'jump on wherever there's a seat/the nearest door' approach drives him mad!

Just on the incorrect eating of mandarins... this picture is of DD2's half eaten mandarin. I mean who does that? She ate them like a normal person her whole life so far and then this year suddenly decided that "peel half and burrow into it like a small worm" was the way forward. What?

Not rinsing the dishes after washing.
Leaving the teabag on the side to dry out.
Putting milk in with instant coffee before hot water (wtf)
Pronounce Beijing with a soft J.
Park the car facing in, rather than the direction we will leave in.
Use every pan in the kitchen when one would do.
