To go for another job

I’ve got an interview tomorrow at a nursery, it’s part time and about a 30 minute walk away. All of this is fine it seems a lovely nursery and I was hoping to get the job.

However I’ve just looked online and their sister nursery has posted for a full time position, plus it’s nearer to me.

AIBU applying to both, if no then do I ring them and be honest or go for the interview not saying anything, then hoping for an interview at the other place. Do you think the managers communicate much?

Thanks in advance, I appreciate any advice.

I would apply for both. You may not get the second if you cancel the first interview.

They will talk. I would put in the application but not until after the interview-so tomorrow afternoon.

Just apply for both.

The one thing I would think about is how much in the lurch you'd leave the first job if you got the second too. By that I mean, if the first job are expecting you to be in post within a month but the deadline for the second job isn't for 2 months then it possibly isn't fair on the first job.

But don't worry about that until you have the first job.

do you want / need a full time job?

StickItUpYaJumpa · 20/01/2019 23:04

Good luck

Thanks everybody, I got offered a job at first one!

But I’ve been honest with them and applied at the sister company, they seem ok with this, fingers crossed
