To really need a clean house

Just that really.
I need to vacuum. Badly. My floors are awful.
The catch... DD5 is autistic and cannot cope with the vacuum cleaner noise. My husband is overseas for a few weeks so he cannot take her out.
I know it's not much in the scheme of things, but I really want clean floors.

Could you book a cleaner and then take her out somewhere she likes?

BitOutOfPractice · 20/01/2019 10:28

Hey op I hope your new hoover is amazing and solves your problem.

I'd happily cone and to it for you if you were my friend. But I know how hard it is to ask for help sometimes.

Just wanted to give you a friendly stroke of the arm to let you know I've read

BitOutOfPractice · 20/01/2019 10:28

abracadabro · 20/01/2019 10:30

I love my roomba, it was a game changer for me. 2 cats and a dog and work very long hours (dog comes to work with me don’t worry!) it does a main hoover every day when I’m at work, just have to make sure the floor is clear before we leave in the morning.
It can’t quite get into corners/do nooks and crannies etc but it does 95% really well and then just leaves corners/stairs to be done by hand.

GivemeGivenchy · 20/01/2019 10:57

My robotic hoovers clean the floor when I am out. The downstairs one also mops!
Well worth the investment. I come home from work each day with hoovered floors. Only thing I need to do it's the stairs but I have a small cordless for that and don't need to do it that often really.

EmmaJR1 · 20/01/2019 12:14

God I hate cleaning but if a friend of mine had your circumstances I wouldn't edit to be asked. I'd offer as soon as you mentioned it!

Don't be shy op!

Good luck with the robot though.

Or get rid of carpet and have hard floors that can be swept?

fleshmarketclose · 20/01/2019 12:22

I have a neato and two children with autism. It's really quiet, I set it going by the app on my phone whilst I'm out of the house, I come home it's done the entire downstairs and took itself back to charge. It tells me this with an update on my phone. I can set it going when dc are in bed and it wakes neither them or the dog even though it vacuums under the footstool the dog sleeps on.
