I did the questionnaire on Pottermore and got Slytherin. I feel cheated...I saw myself as pure Gryffendor...Ravenclaw at a pinch 😀

Cedric Diggory..

^

Now you're talking

Aragog · 19/01/2019 21:15

Another one of Draco 's groupies over here.

DD did nearly switch allegiances after we sat behind Draco (or Tom Felton) in a bar at Venice beach a couple of years back and he gave her a wave, and a little twirl on his skateboard.

But her Hufflepuff loyalties wouldn't allow her too. Instead she uses her Hufflepuff 'niceness' to want to take him under her wing and save him from evil! Grin

MrsTommyBanks · 19/01/2019 21:16

Cypress wood with a unicorn hair core, 12 ¼" and hard flexibility

It won't let me do my patronus Sad

SirVixofVixHall · 19/01/2019 21:18

Oh and my wand is Spruce wood with unicorn hair and brittle flexibility, 13 and three quarter inches.
I have no idea what that says about me.

Aragog · 19/01/2019 21:18

[whispers] it’s not real, there is no Hogwarts, you’re all Muggles....

I am not sure 16y dd realises this fully. Well, I know that she does as she is a sensible bright young woman. But in her heart she really does think it might just be real, in some way. She certainly would like it to be real!

BeanTownNancy · 19/01/2019 21:19

@Piewacket - if dolphins got sorted into a house they would totally be Slytherins; bunch of bastards.

I'm a Ravenclaw with a Ragdoll Cat patronus.

My husband is desperate to be a Slytherin, but he's far too nice and not scared of anything - always ends up in Gryffindor.

C0untDucku1a · 19/01/2019 21:19

Im hufflepuff with a black and white cat.

SirVixofVixHall · 19/01/2019 21:20

I was distracted doing my petronus and made choices I didn’t want. ☹️

Kittykat93 · 19/01/2019 21:20

I'm Slytherin, and have the nighty to prove it Grin

Thatwasfast · 19/01/2019 21:21

I’m a gruffindor with an Osprey Patronus

DH says this fits like a glove Grin

TheLurkingOne · 19/01/2019 21:23

I got hufflepuff which is basically the same as Taurus and makes (boring ) sense.

However it told me that my highly unusual patronus is a scops owl (eh?).

Or did it tell youse all that yours was also highly unusual ?

Lovingbenidorm · 19/01/2019 21:24

I never really got the Cedric Diggory thing. He was pretty but not much else really

TheCrowFromBelow · 19/01/2019 21:25

Hufflepuff.
And my patron is a basset hound Grin I’m ok with it.

Beamur · 19/01/2019 21:30

DD was most amused (and slightly disappointed) to have an aardvark patronus. She's Slytherin.
I haven't done it yet.

strawberrypenguin · 19/01/2019 21:30

Hufflepuff with a cat patronus!
DH is slytherin
DS1 was thrilled to be Ravenclaw
Just need DS2 to be Gryfindor and we'll have a full set!

I'm happy to be a hufflepuff but it's not the best colour scheme to wear...

Icantreachthepretzels · 19/01/2019 21:32

Merlin was a Slytherin.

This annoys me. Merlin of legend would have lived hundreds of years before Hogwarts was founded. I'm all for J.K Rowling using real world stuff in her books - but she can't go round changing other people's fictional worlds to include them in her own.

I never really got the Cedric Diggory thing. He was pretty but not much else really

He was an incredibly powerful wizard for his age - hence why he got chosen to be the Triwizard champion.

Donnasaurus · 19/01/2019 21:33

Slytherin with a python patronus so definitely a slytherin!

mummyhaschangedhername · 19/01/2019 21:36

I'm a super proud Hufflepuff and weirdly so are most of my friends 😂 ... my husband is Slytherin

Icantreachthepretzels · 19/01/2019 21:36

I never really got the Cedric Diggory thing. He was pretty but not much else really

Also he was a very good seeker and put together a very strong hufflepuff quidditch team (so excellent leadership qualities).
But when he realised that Harry had fallen off his broom he insisted that they discount his catch and play the match again - though even Oliver Wood admitted that Cedric won fair and square. Not only was he a talented sportsman - he was a damn good sport!

BillywigSting · 19/01/2019 21:39

I know three slytherins and all of them are really excellent people.

Me and my two closest friends are hufflepuffs through and through though. Dp I think is probably a slytherin and my mum is definitely a ravenclaw. She has been a student for the last 20 or so years studying various things (on top of work, which also involves constant revision of various things). She reads textbooks for fun.

Reckon my dad is probably a hufflepuff too. Though he is stupendously lazy.

Never met a gryffindor that isn't a bit full of themselves tbh.

PotOOOOOOOO · 19/01/2019 21:41

Ravenclaw and red squirrel. I KNEW I was a squirrel Grin. I think I’m actually a RavenPuff.

TheSassyAssassin · 19/01/2019 21:42

Just done this and I'm in Gryffindor. My patronus is a Black And White Cat and my wand is a Laurel wood with a Unicorn hair core 13 ¾" and Unyielding flexibility. I think am fairly happy with that outcome Smile

Lovingbenidorm · 19/01/2019 21:42

Ok Icant I’ll agree with that.
Just didn’t really appeal to me (obvs if I was actually a teenager attending Hogwarts) that said, he probably wouldn’t fancy me anyway.
I’d be torn between Ron and Draco, but I’d be thinking of Neville

Aragog · 19/01/2019 21:49

Re Hufflepuff colours - the 'real' colours of a more mustardy yellow is much better than the yellow tones used in the non-real versions. DD's scarf is a much better shade than the Primark PJs colour for example.

MyGastIsFlabbered · 19/01/2019 21:51

My wand is Dogwood wood

Phoenix feather core

11" in length

Supple flexibility

Not sure what that says about me!
