Inspired by the thread about songs that make you cry I‘d like to know.

The Mission makes me weep but probably for very good reason. Sorry that isn’t what you asked for.
Moulin Rouge (Nicole Kidman Ewan NcGregor) also makes me cry but not for so obvious reasons.

@onemirecupofcoffefortheroad Smile feel free to also tell me about the movies that made you cry for a reason... but unfortunately I do not know what this one is all about.

Ashamed to admit this, but Frozen makes me cry when she sings Let it Go. It’s like theres a switch it presses (some magical key/note combo, I don’t know) that makes me cry and I don’t want to, but can’t help it. Embarrassing!

Benjamin Button is the saddest film I've ever seen. But also not for no apparent reason. Sorry

I watched the remake of True Grit and didn't feel like I was very into it; westerns not my usual cup of tea, dialogue indistinct etc. Somehow though it had wormed its way into me to the point that during the later scenes I started sobbing, real wracking heaving wet-faced stuff, which continued well after the film ended. Somewhat embarrassingly I was the cinema usher and had to say goodbye to all the customers while trying to control my emotions. Very odd. Still don't understand why it did that to me.

Hachi a dog's tale. Enough said. I can't watch it anymore I am a wreck if I do.
The Polar Express . Looking at my children's faces watching this makes my heart ache for more innocent times.
The Slipper and the Rose. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers These two especially. They remind me of New Year's Eve with my late grandmothers. We watched these with them would sneak a drop of their sherry or cherry b

I watched them with my children recently and I just started crying big fat tears. I could almost smell them, their lovely perfume, mixed with my grandfathers' cigars and their soft skin that smelled of oil of ulay and ponds cold cream 💔
