To ask for TV thriller recommendations

To ask for some TV or film recommendations? It's Friday night, DH is away on business, I have got a bottle of vino, the dog has been walked and I am in my dressing gown. Please can you reccomend a good thriller or series to watch! I like grisly stuff like Se7en but not horror if that makes sense!

Enjoy your evening to yourself sounds lovely! Have you got Netflix?

Jaimx86 · 18/01/2019 19:16

Just finished You on Netflix - that was great.

iklboo · 18/01/2019 19:17

True Detective (Season one)

PrincessConsuelaBanana · 18/01/2019 19:17

Ooh Lovely! You on Netflix is very good - you can watch the trailer and see if it seems like your thing? It’s not overly grisly but is quite creepy.

Kanelbullar · 18/01/2019 19:18

If you have Netflix Mindhunters (the series not the film) was excellent

RayRayBidet · 18/01/2019 19:18

Second Mind hunter its really good.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 18/01/2019 19:18

You on Netflix is great.

SavageBeauty73 · 18/01/2019 19:19

Happy Valley, Line of Duty, Luther

I'm watching True Detective

ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName · 18/01/2019 19:20

It’s an oldie but a goodie- the original Messiah. It’s all on YouTube here m.youtube.com/watch?v=B7ytHx1zyqQ it was a great book and the original TV version is outstanding. The sequels were a bit ropy mind you.

More recently Line of Duty had me on the edge of my seat and that’s all on netflix- four amazing series.

MagicalTwinky · 18/01/2019 19:20

Was about to suggest You on Netflix.

Kanelbullar · 18/01/2019 19:25

If you like international dramas there's loads to pick from - the break, the bridge (Swedish version), la mante, engranages

Auba14 · 18/01/2019 19:26

You on Netflix is outstanding. Great story too.

Sausagefingers9 · 18/01/2019 19:27

Have you got prime?
Sightseers is hilarious if you have a dark sense of humour.

TrickyLicky · 18/01/2019 19:56

The Bridge, Line of Duty, Hinterland ...all awesome! Enjoy your evening OP.

Pugwash1 · 18/01/2019 21:03

Right... Off to find out what You is all about as I have never heard of it! Thanks for the other recommendations. I have the house to myself for a week so can do some binging!

@rayraybidet Second series of mindhunter out soon can't wait Smile

RayRayBidet · 18/01/2019 21:09

@Kanelbullar
Yay! I didn't know if they were going to make another! Will keep a look out. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for the heads up!

dayswithaY · 18/01/2019 21:10

I'm hooked on The Sinner 2 - first one is good too, you don't need to watch it first.

SavageBeauty73 · 19/01/2019 12:19

I've just started Hinterland. Good so far.

KittyMcTitty · 19/01/2019 14:22

Killing Eve!!!

BillyAndTheSillies · 19/01/2019 14:59

Another hands up vote for You. Haven't binged a series for years, but couldn't stop watching it.

Highlandcathedral · 19/01/2019 15:05

I watched The Sinner on Netflix recently. I accidentally managed to watch the second series first, which was very good, and have downloaded the first to watch later. A thriller but not horror. I’m enjoying the other suggestions, I love The Bridge but I’m all caught up on that.

billydilly · 19/01/2019 15:16

A bit retro but Netflix now has all 7 seasons of Prime Suspect, I binged the lot last week- still so exciting!

RayRayBidet · 19/01/2019 15:18

@billydilly
Yes good point. Ditto the original House of Cards with Francis Urquhart. Actually if anything it's more blooming relevant now.
