WIBU to suggest that Jasmine Paris’s achievement of taking 12 hours off the (male) Spine Race record make the efforts of overpaid footballers seem fairly paltry?

Isn’t she amazing? Just an incredible achievement!

And using her short breaks to express breastmilk for her baby. Amazing achievement.

She is amazing!

I know, never heard the likes of it, it's incredible!!

SushiMonster · 18/01/2019 13:49

Amazing. But totally crazy. I can't imagine being prepared to endure so much horribleness and sleep deprivation for a running race.

Iwantacampervan · 18/01/2019 14:14

Fantastic achievement - I heard her interview on Womans Hour today.

Iwantacampervan · 18/01/2019 14:17

You are not being unreasonable either regarding overpaid footballers!

SpoonBlender · 18/01/2019 14:28

I'm guessing she made a lot of those 12 hours up by not sleeping - only took a couple of hours over the four days - with coaching from the baby!

Astonishing achievement. Read about another runner who gave up 6km from the end - probably an hour - because he was hallucinating from the sleep deprivation. Crazy things people do.
