I know IABU really, but every sale counts at this time of year and I'm childishly annoyed. She bought something yesterday and paid for it, I've packaged it up ready to go to the USA tomorrow, and now I've got a message saying "Oh sorry, can you cancel it, I didn't realise you were in a different country and it will take too long to arrive."

Obviously I've refunded it and sent a pleasant message back, I'm not a total arse. But grrrr and hrumpf Sad

Yanbu I hate if when people don't read listings properly! It's the one thing I always look at.

I don’t think yabu. eBay/Etsy always clearly state where the item is coming from so it must be incredibly annoying to lose sales due to buyers not paying attention

YANBU I would be tempted to tell her it is already packaged ready to be sent and that while you can refund you can't refund the entire amount due to the packaging costs incurred.

MidniteScribbler · 17/01/2019 04:15

Everything that I ordered last year from UK/US/Asia to Australia usually arrived within a week, and was usually faster than items ordered locally, so I don't really see how long the wait would really be, especially if you are a prompt sender.

YANBU but distance selling laws apply. At least you hadn’t sent it she may have kicked off and blamed you for your efficiency.
