Give her a month of letting her toddler roam naturally and she will opt for the reins. It happens to all good parents who want to keep their children safe.

I don't get what you are referring to. I have 6 kids. They are 8 yrs and under. I have never used reins. I have never had the need. None of my childrern have ever had an 'accident' they have never been to A&E. So am ? a BAD parent because I chose no to put them on a lead?
If that's what you're implying, you're talking rubbish, if not then i apologise for not understanding your post. it is a very vague one though.

Saturn74 · 30/06/2007 14:59

I assume this is an off-shoot from another thread?
I have never used reins for my children, and they have never had an accident because of it.
I consider myself to be a good parent.
But I wouldn't criticise someone who did use reins.
Your OP is rather judgemental, IMO.

And why is this posted is AIBU?

divastrop · 30/06/2007 15:01

i have 5 children and have never used reins.i attempted to use them with ds2,but he was too strong and i couldnt keep hold of him.in his case it was safer to keep in a pushchair when going near any roads till he was 3.5.

i didnt read all of the other thread but personally i prefer keeping toddlers in pushchairs in unsafe places and letting them roam free where its safe

lulumama · 30/06/2007 15:03

this must be left over from the reins thread the other day

seems a bit random otherwise

kittywits · 30/06/2007 15:42

I think it must. I deliberate wind up then? I wish I hadn't bothered to reply now

kittywits · 30/06/2007 15:42

A deliberate

winestein · 30/06/2007 15:53

really? It looks like a mistake to me Kittywits. It's untitled and in the same topic area as the reins thread the other day. Sherlock
