Lilmisskittykat · 16/01/2019 03:11

So sorry to read that bees xxx

Thatwasfast · 16/01/2019 03:12

Pumping breast milk as boobs feel engorged, and 10 week old is a very good sleeper!

My first child used to wake up a lot, and want to be held. In hi sight I think she was probably cold, as this baby loves being warm, and so sleeps well! Could your baby be too cold, and that’s why they want to lie on you?

Mississippilessly · 16/01/2019 03:14

thatwasfast I dont think so. We have a heater on and he is in a 3.5tig sleeping bag

It's only 10:15pm here.

BusySnipingOnCallOfDuty · 16/01/2019 03:16

@MissQuad sounds like we are at the same point 🙁

Insomnia and messed up sleep patterns and lack of ability to regulate sleep.

So I've gone on Indeed and applied for five jobs.

Lucky11111 · 16/01/2019 03:18

Cramp!

Been hobbling round my bedroom trying to get all my toes to point in the SAME direction ...

LizzieSiddal · 16/01/2019 03:20

We flew back from australia yesterday and got in at 5am.
I to go to bed at 8 last night as I was so tired my brain hurt. I’ve now had 5 hours sleep and am not sure I’ll have anymore.
Tomorrow’s going to be fun😂

SquigglePigs · 16/01/2019 03:21

My 6 week old is feeding. Hope the sleep consultant helps you.

SophiaLovesSummer · 16/01/2019 03:21

So sorry Bees Flowers

I'm still up as I worked until early hours and I'm just waiting for my 'dinner' to go down... But hey, it's been an education on MN tonight - I've been introduced to moonbumps Grin

OP One of mine was the same but in the end, for the sake of sanity (I'm really not exageratting, both of our MH was just on the floor with sleep deprivation) and in utter desperation I bought the Gina Ford book (with deep, deep shame at the time!) - felt like Cruella but like feckin magic after 3 nights of hell sticking to it he just started sleeping properly (and happily, zero issues or crying) in his cot waking only once for a feed. It literally felt like a miracle Star He's a strapping happy healthy 17 year old now but you have my sympathies, I'd forgotten how awful it was TBH Flowers

MeredithShepherd · 16/01/2019 03:22

Feeding 10 week old DS. Fourth night in a row he’s only woken once around 3am!

Mississippilessly · 16/01/2019 03:25

SophiaLovesSummer that's great! I dont feel I have the capacity or strength to follow a book. I'm hoping I will stick to a plan given to me by a consultant.
I feel awful but I cannot do this anymore. I'm not living I'm just existing.

Insomnia, I am watching QI, it keeps making me laugh

AlessandroVasectomi · 16/01/2019 03:28

I always wake after 1-2 hours sleep and then lie awake until anywhere between 4-6 am. Been like it since I retired 4 years ago. Today I'm listening to the fallout from the political events on the radio.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 16/01/2019 03:31

Fingers crossed that you figure it out with the consultant. I ended up hallucinating with lack of sleep with ds1 - ended up cosleeping with my other 3, although I'm a light sleeper and I know it's not for everyone but it saved my sanity!

Mississippilessly · 16/01/2019 03:32

I would co sleep but it makes no difference!

Trying to get six day old son to sleep :/

Roobub · 16/01/2019 03:34

@Mississipilessly I'm up for the exact same reason as you!! My 5 month old only likes to sleep in my arms. I've tried everything but still spend most nights sat in the nursery with her in my arms. Mumsnet is a bit of a lifesaver as I'm too tired to read but it's too boring to do nothing!

heymammy · 16/01/2019 03:35

Sorry to hear that Bees

I've such a sore throat that I came downstairs and will try and sleep propped up on the couch. Luckily no work tomorrow but still need to get up for school.

Mississippilessly · 16/01/2019 03:35

Roobub how are u coping? I'm a wreck.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 16/01/2019 03:36

Hello!!! Same as before, 4 month old DS just not sleeping, up every 45-60 minutes. I can get him down on the mattress beside me, but he's so fidgety I don't really sleep. ATM I've got him sleeping on his tummy, and he seems so much more settled, but I know that's really against advice. Just sitting watching him sleep right now. Hope the sleep consultant works for you!

spudlet7 · 16/01/2019 03:37

Because my 4 month old is apparently ravenous tonight 😐

tryinganewname · 16/01/2019 03:37

DD 6 months is taking forever to go back to sleep.. despite falling asleep on the bottle so thought it was going to be easy! She seems to think it's time to get up.

Shouldn't complain really, it's the first time tonight - last night I'd been up about 7 times by now!

So tired.

zebrapig · 16/01/2019 03:38

I'm in a rage over nursery fees that have been over/under paid and invoices that are apparently wrong, but no-one has noticed for 4 months. There something going on with the management that they're not saying and the whole thing has me wound right up. They'll be getting it both barrels in the morning as their (dis)organisation is appalling.

For once it isn't the 1yo that's got me up but I can't switch off enough to get back to sleep and by the time I do he'll probably wake up needing a nappy change and milk. He's never been the best sleeper so I feel your pain op, we've spent many a night do-sleeping as it was the only way for any of us to get some rest.

Walnutwhipster · 16/01/2019 03:40

I have insomnia, doubled with the fact I'm going into hospital on Thursday for a while; there's no chance tonight.
