This is a two header so here goes.

1. to have my two children aged 12 and 9 to help a little around the house ( drying and putting away the dishes)

2. that when my kids are misbehaving and I want help from my partner that I should get it. It always seems to be up to me to sort them out and I am coming to the end of my tether with this. I am tired and just want some time to myself is this being unfair

Of course your children should be doing chores. They should have been doing them for years now. As for your partner, why are you putting up with his lack of involvement and support?
