As part of our consent order I agreed to continue paying for my cheating ex-husband's phone contract because it was on my Sky account and this formed part of the give and take involved in our consent order. At the time (and in fact written into the consent order) we believed the handset would be paid off after 12 months. Today I discovered it's actually a 30 month contract (whoops) with the option of exchanging for a new handset after 24 months. In the interest of not wanting a war I accepted to pay the extra 12 months (£316) but I can't have him on my Sky account indefinitely so I paid his handset off in full today (£496) and have asked him to pay the difference of £180 ...in exchange for which he will be able to keep/sell his handset rather than having to return it to Sky in 10 months time.
His response "Well, I guess I have no choice!" .... miserable, ungrateful sod. I've just paid an additional £316 for his mobile phone and all he can think about is the extra £180 he'll have to pay!!
