Absolutely furious, every couple of days I come out of the house to go out, we have a driveway and a large piece of land to the side of the drive which is grass, it is fenced all the way around the house apart from the drive, some dirty arsehole is letting their horse sized dog shit on my side garden !

This isn’t a one off occasion it’s happened more than 10 times in the last month or so, obviously I’m not home so can’t definitely see who it is, I have an idea but can’t proof it, is there anything I can do to stop this ? It’s absolutely disgusting and I shouldn’t have to pick it up ! At my wits end

Is it worth getting CCTV so that you can return any lost property to its rightful owner’s doorstep?

Can you put CCTV up? I'm not sure what the laws are of it though.
Where I live there seems to be no end of people letting their dogs shit everywhere, it's disgusting.

I'd sad a gate across your driveway if that's possible, to prevent this dog (or any others) from getting access

This happened to my dad, many many years ago, and there was a telegraph pole between his drive and next doors so he stuck a big notice on it asking for 'the dirty fucker who's dog is shitting in his drive and all over the pavement to please pick it up or do it elsewhere' a few days later he got up for work and saw his next door neighbours car was smothered in dog poo, all over the door handles and windscreen.

They obviously thought it was his NDN who put the notice up and didn't take kindly to the message

I had someone let their dog relieve itself outside my gate for a week a so. Really annoyed me. So I bleached the area, used a whole bottle. It stopped. Dogs use the same spot so you need to make that area smell nasty so the dog won't do it anymore.

We had the same problem in our previous house, despite a lamppost directly at the bottom of the drive with an official sign saying that there was a £25 mandatory fine for allowing dogs to foul the pavement.

Sprinkle pepper in the area, as pp said you need to make it smell uninviting.

I had this a couple of years ago. Dogs would shit on my drive some where between 11am when my dp went to work and 12 when i came home for lunch. I had an idea who it was but couldn't prove it. Council wouldnt do anything as it was private property (had the dog been doing it 3in Further forward they would have sent a dog warden or community officer out!) Cctv wasnt an option at the time and it would of had to be pointing directly at the public pavement. One day i was off work for an appt. Sat in my car setting the sat nav up and the woman and her 4 poodles appeared, 2 off lead wondered on to my garden pissed up against my car (that i was fucking sat in) then had a shit on my drive. I filmed them on my phone and took a picture of the woman, i opened the window and asked her to clean it up and keep her dogs off my property. She just laughed at me. So i picked it up in a bag and followed her round the corner, (5 houses away from mine but on the next street ) waited till she went inside and put it on her door step - right where she couldnt miss stepping in it if she came out of the house! (I did this three times in total) i also forwarded her photo, and address to the council. And covered my drive in jeyes fluid and bleach. It stopped by the end of the week, not sure which part was most effective but they haven't done it since, she still walks past my house everyday but always puts her head down if she sees me and pulls the dogs away.

I’m dealing with this right now. Some dumbass is letting their dog shit on my driveway I have a motion detector CCTV now—I’m waiting to catch who is doing it. It’s proper disgusting. I wouldn’t let my dogs crap on someone else’s property!

Sorry, but if the dog did it on the pavement and the owner picked it up, then that's fine. You don't own the pavement outside your gate.

Sometimes you need to walk out of the gate though.
