To miss a sibling

My "D"B is in prison, refused bail and now won't be released for a long time.

I had no idea of his crimes. He's plead guilty. We were pretty close (I thought). But now, due to his crimes, I will never talk to him again.

AIBU to miss him? Or more likely, miss the him I knew?

My DB lives on the other side of the world. I miss him lots, but mainly I miss the him he is when we are having fun together. Atm he's being an arse over stuff (costing me £1000s over a past joint venture he won't tie up the loose ends of and I have to keep bailing out, and going to watch football while I took my terminally ill dad to hospital) so I'm not missing him so much right now. But I do wish we saw him more often. I don't know what your brother has done and don't wish to know, but you've obviously got a sibling connection. Its perfectly reasonable to miss him but at the same time be furious with him. I know the feeling well and wish I didn't.

YANBU at all.

Can't imagine how that feels Thanks

Of course YANBU. You’re grieving someone who was in your life for most, in not all, of it and of course you’ll miss that him and now you know that person is gone. Flowers
