Oh, I did enjoy it though, some very funny quotes and we shed a tear or two too.

doubleshotespresso · 13/01/2019 00:55

When is this on again please?

ernestandjuliogallo · 13/01/2019 00:57

I'm not sure, I just downloaded it from the I player.
DH and I are killing ourselves laughing. So funny

It’s absolute brilliant. For all the wrong reasons.

‘It’s because of Stevie Wonder that I decided to not be superstitious’

trooth · 13/01/2019 01:01

The letters H. O. M. E. are so important because they personify the word home Grin

JemSynergy · 13/01/2019 01:06

I liked it. I thought it was funny and sad. Their comeback tour looked amazing.

ernestandjuliogallo · 13/01/2019 01:16

@trooth I fucking spat out my wine at that one!

My sister was on about this the other day. Is it a parody?? She said it’s like it could be a parody but she’s not sure. (I haven’t seen it)

DragonMamma · 13/01/2019 01:21

It’s not a paradoy but it should be. It’s quite sad actually. The way they talk to each other is awful.

‘I’m a rectangle, he’s a rectangle. Together we make a square’ Grin

MadisonAvenue · 13/01/2019 01:35

I wasn’t a Bros fan but I’ve watched this twice, I watched it once and then had my husband watch it a couple of nights later Grin

ernestandjuliogallo · 13/01/2019 01:36

Lol @HappyTheCroc @DragonMamma you would think it honestly was a parody.
Apparently someone asked whether Ricky gervais has helped write the script!
It literally is spinal tap meets the office

OP posts:
DragonMamma · 13/01/2019 01:42

It’s just brilliant. I wasn’t a BROS fan (too young Grin) but I could watch this on repeat.

Extra points for Luke wearing endless (clearly new, out of the packet) band t shirts to prove his muso status. Pristine 1994 Soundgarden tour t shirt, anyone?

Sparklesocks · 13/01/2019 01:46

It’s great and i love the dog with the pint painting

BackoftheAdge · 13/01/2019 01:56

Oh it’s hilarious! The conkers bit had me in stitches

Corkleg · 13/01/2019 02:07

What? It’s REAL??? I thought it was a sort of spinal tap thing! Oh my god.

LittleScottieDog · 13/01/2019 03:31

The dog with beer painting was a highlight, as was the Stevie Wonder quote. Most things Matt came out with were hilarious.

Agree with OP - Spinal Tap meets The Office is a perfect description!

Goposie · 13/01/2019 03:49

I actually liked both of them in this. I saw Matt perform at a local fireworks display years ago after they were famous and I was impressed with his energy and sincerity and connection with the audience despite obviously not being big anymore. In the documentary you can see from current and historic footage that they really do respect their fans. I felt their clashes as twins/siblings were sad and clearly there were a lot of unresolved issues. Matt came across to me as sincere and sensitive and Luke as very frustrated and wounded.

Purplepjs · 13/01/2019 05:32

This is brilliant! I’ve been up most of the night with a fussy newborn and needed something to watch. My favourite line so far...”I love the news. It’s the thinking mans reality show”. How is this real?!! Grin

thegreatbeyond · 13/01/2019 05:46

I'm glad that it wasn't just me not 'getting' it and that Matt Goss really is as mad as a box of frogs.
