I fucking love cleaning. I have PTSD and it's extremely therapeutic. DH does all the cooking, shopping, laundry and pet stuff. I do the cleaning. It makes me happy.

With all due respect, who cares if random woman on Mumsnet loves cleaning? And you can be a feminist and enjoy cleaning. Clearly.

But Mrs Hinch's influence is over women as a group, and rightly or wrongly puts pressure where it's always been; on women to clean, and have a spotless home.

Because - weirdly - not many men 'fucking love' cleaning. Most women don't either - because it's tedious, often hard work, never blooding ending - and most people can think of a zillion other things they'd rather do with their precious time.

I'm willing to bet that she doesn't have many male followers, because they're probably following stuff that matters, or at the very least, is interesting.

As I said upthread - men are laughing with their 'get out of jail free card', now that it's suddenly cool for their partners to slog and clean.
