Team RH app - what a joke!

Members expecting it for 1st January, presuming the launch date would be then when they say "out in January". Then a promise it would be ready by the end of week 1 January but nothing. An update saying minor problems to be smoothed out.

AIBU to be suspicious they are waiting for the third week of January to recruit new members due to this being known as the week most people start a diet....

Pretending to care about existing customers but really holding out for more...

You'd think so. But on 1st January he claimed it would be 'out this week, we are just awaiting app store approval' then at the end of that week changed the story that 'there are some minor bugs in it so we don't want to release it till it's perfect' (whilst acknowledging that 1000s of users are likely to find more bugs anyway)

I’m not a member of team RH.
I do watch his videos though and I’m considering joining. I think he genuinely just wants the best for members. He doesn’t lie or suggest quick fixes he’s honest.

But these things happen. Unexpected things go wrong. The mistake really was saying it would be out on the 1st jan before they knew they could definitely deliver.
It’s not that big a deal.

He is a very clever man in his field and has great delivery. I do think people in Team RH are too quick to hang off every word he days though and don't dare speak out - a bit like a cult or MLM where no negativity is allowed!

I just think this whole 'doing it to help people' is a nice line trotted out to keep everyone happy but with a fighting attitude like he has, he means business and plans to make good money from this.

So I believe he is waiting until either week 3 of January which is the week when lots of people actually start to diet or have failed at other diets and look for something else!

He has to make money, same as every other "diet company" he lambasts - SW, WW etc. So it would make sense for him to wait. Stuff might need smoothing out, or he could be building up anticipation, you'll never know. One thing's certain - you're all talking about it!

I work for a company who had to jump through a million hoops to get their app into the App Store. It really isn't as easy as saying "Here's my app. Stick it in the fitness section"
