To have pulled out as I was sick?

Last week I had an interview for a new job (legal industry) - I have terrible morning sickness right now and made it in to the workplace, but had to email saying I really didn’t feel good a couple of hours prior and would we be able to move it (I’ll spare the details but couldn’t keep anything down and could barely think straight)... I explained I was feeling terrible and could we move, and the lady interviewing took it well: but I feel guilty. AIBU???

Why did you feel guilty, MikeysMum?

It's odd how we feel guilty for admitting to being human and getting ill. Would you be feeling guilty if you'd asked to change the interview time at short notice because you were too unwell to take part if the symptoms were being caused by an illness rather than by the effects of pregnancy?

Well if you're puked at the interview then that wouldn't have worked out well!

You made the right decision and it's just misplaced guilt.

Are you feeling guilty or are you worried that canceling may hurt yiur chances if getting the job?

There's nothing to feel guilty about, they deal with worse.

You called, explained and rearranged... noting else to worry about. Focus on feeling better.
