Not an AIBU, posted for traffic.
A couple of days ago while driving I run my car into another car parked on a side of the road on my way to work. I left my details on the windscreen, but I think the are away so have not heard from them (I pass by every day the note is still there). Insurer notified, I accept this is totally my fault, but I wonder how to proceed when they ring. Do I just give them my insurance details? Do I also call the police?
There was no one around and I drove off after leaving the note, a bit late for that now but wonder if I should have done something differently?

@GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat Sorry I meant 101! Obviously 111 would not be able to help me with this at all!

If you have the reg no of the car you hit, your insurance Co can trace who the other car is insured with anyway. Insurance company should be told, regardless of whether she wants to make a claim. Taking pics if damage is a good idea. I once caught a bumper in a car park. The bill vise much more than it should. The car has damage to it that could not have been caused by me. I suspect the car had been bumped at other times, and not repaired. The owner then took the opportunity to get the whole lot fixed in one go. The garage would probably not have repaired just the damage I caused - without repairing the rest it wouldn't have been any point.
