AIBU - what is the classical music used in the Brexit: an Uncivil War soundtrack? Posting for traffic.

So random and a totally unnecessary AIBU - I’m posting for traffic (hope that’s okay!)

I’ve been watching Brexit: the Uncivil War, the play that was on Channel 4 the other day with Benedict Cumberbatch.

Quite a lot of classical music is used in the soundtrack, most of which I can’t recognise but can’t place at all.

Please could you help me identify the classical music used in it? :)

The 2nd movement and the 4th movement (“Ode to Joy”) of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony are heavily featured.

During the bus scene, where Cummings shouts “let’s take back control”, the last couple of minutes of Beethoven’s Overture to “Egmont” is playing, and it’s featured in another scene too.

Do you know what the music is in the scene where he’s reading in bed and then has a brainwave about using ‘take back control’ as the campaign slogan?

It sounds really familiar but I can’t place it at all!!

Ode to Joy is the anthem of the European Union.

Quietrebel I haven’t got to the bit in the film where Ode to Joy is played yet. I’m just wondering what the music is in the scene where BC’s character jumps out of bed and runs to the office to write out the slogan ‘take back control’?

I haven't seen this, but if you download the Shazam app to your phone, you can use it to identify pretty much any music. It's like magic!
