Crappy GHD hairdryer and crappy John Lewis

I paid £79 for a GHD hair dryer last week. It’s the worst hairdryer I’ve ever used, turns my usually shiny hair into something akin to worzel gummage (even on the lowest setting and using heat protector). Took it back to John Lewis where very patronising teenage looking electricals manager refused to return it because it had been used (obviously it’s been used or I wouldn’t know how crap it is). I’ve used better hairdryers in low budget hotels. AIBU to want to lob it through John Lewis’ window? Sigh.

Persist with your complaint. It has to be fit for the purpose for wbich it is bought.

I'd go back and ask to speak to a manager. Say it isn't fit for purpose and you want a refund.

It isn’t fit for purpose- push it as faulty. It shouldn’t perform that way- it’s a professional hairdressers brand originally
