Aibu to go straight to the greasy spoon after my amazing CWP consultant weighs me? Shes so lovely but all i fancy is a pile of bacon rashers and some sausages and fried bread! And of course shit tonnes of CHEESE GROMIT!

Ive been on the diet a week. I havent even been tempted to stray. Did it before i got pregnant and it was brill (i will literally only lose weight if someone is monitering me Grin )

Shall i do it? Shall i just do the cheese. I still have a whole cheeseboard in my fridge. I can polish it in 5 mins. Then cleanse my palate with bacon butties. Then re-cleanse with cheese leftover at my mums..

An adult should never have to ask permission on what they can eat and this is why I hate diets. They create such food anxiety it’s disastrous for health, mentally and physically.

Do it. I hate depriving myself of stuff, I would never say to cut anything out because this is how it leaves you feeling! And some are likely to give up. All in moderation.

Mmmmmm cheeeeese

Pretyui · 10/01/2019 09:09

Don't binge on the cheese, have a small portion, depriving yourself completely is going to make you fall off the diet and bingr, so have a small amount and stay in control.

For any weight loss to work you need to learn about moderation. Binging won’t do you any favours long term but can’t you compromise on a bacon butty and then some cheese (not the whole lot!) later?

Have you considered weightwatchers? I have been doing it for just over a year. I've lost nearly 5 stone and I eat cheese and bacon 😉 (Asda 50% less fat cheese and bacon medallions) Hey I don't swim them in fat like the breakfasts my son loves (that his friend's dad does) but it means nothing is off the table 😉

It's all about being mindful.

What’s CWP?

Cheby · 10/01/2019 09:16

Oh, Cambridge? So it’s a VLCD?

Honestly, I wouldn’t bother. I’ve done VLCDs before and while they are absolutely successful in the short term, they’re not sustainable, for exactly the reasons you describe. I started slimming world last year (I’m breastfeeding so low carb or VLCDs aren’t suitable), I’ve lost 5st, kept it off but I think most importantly, I’m happy to keep going, I’m not fed up of it, I’m still losing weight and I’ve had some breaks without feeling like I’ve ruined everything.
