AIBU to think they are trying to convince themselves that their relationship is ok?

Eg, 'I can't believe how lucky I am to have such a wonderful wife / husband' public valentines cards with photos kissing in the street etc.!!

Then one cheats on the other. I've seen it happen so many times!

Some people are just sickly sweet and very all over each other. Public affection is just the dynamic of some relationships. Many of those people will be truly happy

I guess what I mean is the only times I've seen this one cheated on the other really quickly afterwards.

My SIL did this constantly, it was nauseating and I sometimes felt like I was out on 'date night' with them. They're currently getting divorced.
