Aibu to ask for your honeymoon recommendations with Children

We are getting married at the end of May, and DS will be 19mo. We have six days off for a honeymoon after the wedding, and a budget of roughly £2000.

Where would you go/ have you been/ would you recommend?

We keep going round in circles- originally we thought Green Islands but that might be too much travelling on boats for the sake of a week. We looked at Dubai but potentially too hot for LO? Considered Marrakech too but have recently been told by some friends they didn't see it as v relaxing when they went.

Would like to spend most of time chilling by pool or beach, with potential for some nice days out

I don’t think you’d get anywhere nice in Dubai for your budget, plus it’s a fairly long flight for 6 days.

I’d look at an all inclusives in Canaries. Portugal is perfect and very family friendly although if you’d prefer warmer weather it may be too cold in May for you. Or how about Italy? I’ve been looking on Tui and they have some nice options as we are looking at our first family holiday around that time.

Before DD it was American road trips but now we just want something with a nice pool, some sun and minimal stress.
