DPD parcel delivery

A friend sent me a parcel from India.
I was away until last Friday evening.
Apparently they tried to deliver to me on Thursday AND Friday mornings. Two cards were left.
When I entered the number online it now says the parcel has been sent back to the ‘consignor’.
With the PO you usually have the chance to collect locally for at least a week. Or there is more of a window of opportunity to arrange redelivery!
It seems unfair to me. Worse still, there is NO phone number to talk to a real person and no-one has replied to my enquiry form within 24 hours as it states.
Does this mean my parcel is returning to India in such a short time frame?
Looking online, it seems to that DPD have lots of bad reviews but they are quite effectively hidden!
Someone suggested that tweeting them might get results but it seems they ‘only like nice communications’ and are ‘only responding to email enquiries’ on there since October. That says it all!

google your local depot and check if it is still with them, it most likely is and you can arrange delivery or collectiion

alternatively call their customer services and check with them, they will ring the depot on your behalf and get them to check

No, apparently my parcel is on it’s way back to Hounslow, Dart Air. Not arrived yet as I rang them.
All a bit crap really!
